Description[]

Misty is a stubborn tomboy, as the youngest of four sisters who live in the Cerulean Gym. Since her sisters left on a world tour, Misty took place as the Gym Leader of the Cerulean Gym. As specializing in Water-types, Misty is definitely unbeatable. With her powerful team of Water Pokémon, she is one of the most powerful Gym Leaders of all!

Pokémon[]

Misty currently has six Pokémon in rotation and a few others at the Cerulean Gym.

In Rotation[]

Pokémon Information
Azurill
Azurill is the child of Tracey's Marill, one of Misty's former travelling companions. She received the egg from Tracey, and from there, it hatched into a small Azurill. Misty really cares for it since she released Togetic into the wild, and she treats it like her own main Pokémon. The two are best friends!

Pokémon Information
Staryu
Staryu met Misty while she was fishing for Pokémon. It befriended her in the water, becoming good friends. After a few days, Misty said she had to leave because she was visiting Johto, which made Staryu sad. Since Misty wasn't a Pokémon Trainer at the time, Daisy handed her a Poké Ball, allowing her to capture Staryu. She captured it, making it her first Pokémon! Now, Misty often uses Staryu in Gym Battles - making Staryu very powerful!

Pokémon Information
Horsea
At Porta Vista in Kanto, Misty and her old companions, Brock and Ash, were trying to return to the mainland when Misty noticed an injured Horsea near the coast. The little seahorse squirted out a warning in ink that the children didn't understand. Later, the group learned that a woman named Nastina was trying to build an underwater resort in the local reefs, and that her workers were being attacked by many Tentacool. A strange chain of events lead to the community being attacked by a gigantic Tentacruel, who was angry at the humans demolishing the reef. Horsea and Misty's pleading saved the city, and Horsea then joined Misty's team!

Pokémon Information
Politoed
In the Orange Archipelago, Ash and Tracey were paralyzed by a Vileplume's Stun Spore attack. Misty was left to fetch the cure, Salveyo weed, a special type of aquatic plant found at the bottom of lakes on which Poliwag feed. A friendly wild Poliwag helped her gather the special plant. Poliwag obviously liked Misty because it insisted on coming along with her, and Misty added it to her team! As a Poliwag, it was rarely used because of how clumsy it was on land. In Johto, Ash and Misty both used Lure Balls on a wild Totodile. The Balls captured the Pokémon out of sight, so Ash and Misty had a tournament to see who got the toothy Water-type. During a battle against Bulbasaur, Misty's Poliwag evolved into Poliwhirl. Although Misty still lost, she concluded that she preferred the Poliwhirl who was willing to evolve to help her rather than the Totodile that essentially did whatever it wanted. Shortly afterwards, in a battle against Team Rocket, Misty recovered her Poliwhirl and let it out, surprised to see it evolve into Politoed before her eyes! Misty was thrilled with her newly-evolved Pokémon!

Pokémon Information
Gyarados
When Misty returned to Cerulean City to fill in for her sisters as the Gym Leader, she found out that a newly-evolved Gyarados was on a rampage at the Cerulean Gym. Even worse, PIA inspectors were ready to condemn the Gym if there was no leader to keep Gyarados under control. Panicking, Misty tried many attempts to stop it, including a reenactment of the water ballet show Gyarados participated in as a Magikarp. When none of these calming methods worked, Misty resorted to locking it in a cage. However, after the Invincible Pokémon Brothers had an unfair battle with Misty, they got their Tentacruel to attack it with Poison Sting. Misty then took the attack for Gyarados, causing Gyarados to earn her trust. Calmed, it finally allowed her to return it to its Poké Ball.

Pokémon Information
Greninja
Whilst in Kalos, Misty met Professor Sycamore, the region's Pokémon Professor. He offered her one of the three starter Pokémon. She chose Froakie, becoming good friends with it. Training Froakie from day to day, Misty also brought it back with her to Kanto to use it in gym battles against trainers. As they became best friends, Froakie soon evolved into a Frogadier, then later into a mighty Greninja!
Froakie → Frogadier → Greninja

Pokémon Information
Psyduck
In HopHopHop Town, the local Pokémon had been turned listless by the Psychic waves produced by a Hypno. When a Drowzee nullified the waves, the Pokémon were cured, with the exception of a wild Psyduck that Nurse Joy had been looking after due to a chronic headache. Brock wanted to impress her, so he promised to take care of the duck-like Pokémon. Later, it was discovered that Psyduck had a permanent headache. Not wanting the continuously ailing Pokémon, Brock ended up passing it off to Misty because she is a Water-type specialist. Misty tried to avoid the little thing, but she ended up capturing it by accident when she dropped a Poké Ball that subsequently rolled towards Psyduck. Psyduck tapped the Ball's control with its bill twice and essentially captured itself. It is currently at the Cerulean Gym.

Pokémon Information
Luvdisc
Misty and Daisy both obtained Luvdisc of opposite genders, in the hope of using them in one of the Cerulean City Gym's water ballets. Caserin was in love with Daisy's Luvdisc, Luverin, but Luverin completely ignored Caserin's advances. He is currently at the Cerulean Gym.

Pokémon Information
Corsola
Ash, Misty, and Brock met Professor Elm, who showed off his Corsola. Seeing it also made Misty want to have one. The group met a family who raised Corsola to make jewelry out of their shed body parts. However, a wild Corsola came along and invaded the ranch looking for a friend, causing the Corsola in the area to flee. Eventually, all of the Corsola were recovered and Misty caught the wild Corsola with the Lure Ball she received from Kurt. It is currently at the Cerulean Gym.

Pokémon Information
Togetic
Togepi was found as a Pokémon Egg by Ash in Grampa Canyon. Ash, Misty, Brock, and evil Team Rocket's Meowth fought over the Egg and competed to determine who would be the eventual owner. When the Egg hatched into Togepi, the first thing it saw was Misty, and it chose her as its Trainer, even though Ash won the tournament, thinking that she was its mother. Togepi later evolved into a Togetic in order to protect the other Togepi in Mirage Kingdom. When Togetic was injured by Colonel Hansen, an evil man who desires to takeover the kingdom, Misty promptly sent out her Gyarados and defeated Hansen's Shedinja with a Flamethrower attack. After seeing the damage Hansen had done trying to reach the Mirage Kingdom, Misty respected her Togetic's decision to stay behind and released it, so it could protect the Kingdom, the Togepi Paradise, and the Togepi who lived there.
